The purpose of this letter is to depict preferred taxi routes at the Bradley International Airport and to solicit pilot aid in the elimination of runway incursions.

A runway incursion is an occurrence at an aerodrome involving the incorrect presence of an aircraft, vehicle, or person on the protected area of a surface designated for the landing and take-off of aircraft.

Although the causes of runway incursions vary, disorientation on airport surfaces is a major factor.

Pilots are urged to familiarize themselves with the preferred taxi routes depicted on the attached diagrams.
