John C. Tune Airport (JWN) is within Class D airspace with a control tower open 0700-2100 LCL, and is located 10 miles west of Nashville International Airport (BNA).  Due to the diverse mix of aircraft at JWN and the increasing number of high performance jet/turbo prop aircraft, the following is recommened when arriving JWN:

• Arriving aircraft are encouraged to use the VFR reporting points (Joelton, Ashland City, and Pegram) depicted on the attached map.
• Smaller, slow moving aircraft should try to avoid the straight in instrument finals to RY 2/20, and may be asked to enter the Class D from the west.
• All arriving aircraft, attempt to provide an accurate position report to JWN FCT prior to 10 miles.
• High performance VFR aircraft are encouraged to contact BNA approach 119.35 for sequencing to JWN.
• High performance VFR aircrat are encouraged to file VFR flight following to assist in this endeavor for both arrivals and departures at JWN.
