Subject: Radio Communications Blind Spot, Western Arizona Regional Medical Center

This letter is intended to inform all users of a radio communications blind spot on the helicopter parking area located at the Western Arizona Regional Medical Center Heliport (22AZ).


The following Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport (IFP) FAA Contract Tower (FCT) frequencies may not be available while on the surface at 22AZ:
Tower – 123.9 MHz
Ground Control – 118.25 MHZ
ATIS/AWOS – 119.825 MHZ


It is suggested that pilots scan the immediate area and lift off to an altitude at or below 1,000’ MSL to establish communications with IFP FCT prior to departing the heliport.


If radio communications with Bullhead FCT cannot be established between 0800L and 1800L then please call IFP FCT at (928-754-2449).
