Cancellation: 05/31/2023 1200 (UTC)
The Lehigh Valley International Airport, Allentown, PA (ABE), is undergoing a construction project in which the Taxiway Alpha “A” connectors to Runway 06/24 will be renamed. The project is expected to begin around May 9, 2022. Once the project has begun, it is expected to take at least 9 weeks to complete.
For each phase of the plan, the airport will plan to close Runway 06/24 at approximately midnight local, change all of the signage for the taxiway(s) phased changes, and reopen again at approximately 6am local. The airport will advise air traffic of the current airport diagram ABE is using upon reopening.
As the project progresses, each sign on the airport will be replaced to indicate the new name of each taxiway. The phases are expected to proceed as follows:

Ensure the route instructions from air traffic are understood, and ask for progressive taxi instructions, if necessary. A NOTAM regarding airport signage will be issued by the airport authority when the project begins and will be placed on the ATIS.
Once all updates/phases are complete, a new airport diagram will be submitted for publishing.
