Subject: Jackson Hole Airport Closure
Cancellation: 06/28/2022 0701 (UTC)
Dear JAC Users,
From April 11 through June 27, 2022, Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) will be closed to aircraft operations to allow for replacement of runway 01/19, and to allow for other modifications. There will be no flight operations at JAC or Jackson Hole Aviation during the 78-day closure. The National Forest Service Helitack Base will remain operational throughout the closure, though low-level overflight of the airport grounds will not be allowed.
During this time, the airport traffic control tower and class Delta airspace will remain open from 0700-2100L, daily. Our controllers are happy to assist aircraft transitioning the airspace for scenic flights, as well as for other causes. With the cessation of aerodrome arrivals and departures, pilots can expect fewer restrictions from JAC tower to their routes of flight through the valley.
Feel free to contact our air traffic team with any questions. We look forward to resumption of JAC services in June, and wish you a safe and prosperous spring.
Blue skies,
